# How to display Notes in Salesforce Lightning?

To add the **Notes** object to an **Opportunity** view in **Salesforce Lightning**, follow these steps:


**Step 1. Enable Notes (if not already enabled)**

Before adding Notes to the Opportunity view, make sure **Notes** are enabled in Salesforce:

1. Go to **Setup**.

2. In the Quick Find box, search for **Notes Settings**.

3. Click **Notes Settings**.

4. Make sure **Enable Notes** is checked.

5. Click **Save**.



**Step 2. Add Notes to the Opportunity Page Layout**

1. Go to **Setup**.

2. In the Quick Find box, search for **Object Manager** and click on it.

3. Find and select **Opportunity**.

4. Go to **Page Layouts** and select the **Opportunity Layout** you want to modify.

5. In the layout editor, look for **Related Lists**.

6. Drag and drop **Notes** into the Related Lists section.

7. Click **Save**.


**Step 3. Add the Notes Component to the Lightning Page**

If you’re using a **Lightning Record Page**, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to an **Opportunity record**.

2. Click on the gear icon ( **⚙️**) and select **Edit Page**.

3. In the Lightning App Builder, find the **Related Lists – Single** or **Related Lists** component in the left panel.

4. Drag it onto the page and configure it to show **Notes**.

5. Alternatively, you can also add the **Notes & Attachments** related list instead.

6. Click **Save** and then **Activate** (if necessary).

Now, Notes will be visible on the Opportunity record!
